Area and Maps

An ideal location that offers true convenience.

With its mild four season climate and small, college-town friendliness, Williamsburg is one of the most desirable places to live on the East Coast. Yet Williamsburg also offers the benefits of a lively metropolitan area.

Just ten minutes from the gatehouse at Colonial Heritage you'll find the birthplace of America where scores of historic homes and shops stand open as they did over three hundred years ago. Great restaurants, shopping, an international airport, excellent health facilities, educational opportunities, two broad rivers for boating and fishing, plus the bounty of the Chesapeake Bay are all conveniently close.

Just an hour to the east is Virginia Beach with its 28 miles of white sand and exciting resort lifestyle. Right next door is beautiful Norfolk By The Sea, home to the Virginia Opera, McArthur Center and the grand Chrysler Museum.

Just 45 minutes west is historic Richmond, the state capital and home to the world-renowned Medical College of Virginia and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Two hours west of Richmond you'll find the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and breathtaking Skyline Drive. Or head north 2.5 hours to Washington, D.C. to experience the vibrancy of the most powerful city in the world.
